Mukbangers maintain their weight by exercising regularly. Eating small portions instead of three large meals a day is another way that Mukbangers maintain their weight. Mukbang YouTubers also tend to avoid fast food and fried food.

If you look at mukbangers, you can see that they don’t really enjoy eating a lot of food. Some mukbangers even cut in between videos to make it look like they’re eating.

They Track Their Calories

Mukbangers track their calories all the time. Tracking calories help them maintain their weight without overeating. You might not know this, but the majority of people don’t track their calories. If you’re eating lots of fast food, it’s crucial to track your calories. 

If you don’t, it will add up very fast, and before you know it. You’ll have eaten more than 5000 calories in one sitting. Gaining weight will be very quick, and suddenly you’ll have to start dieting if you want to lose weight.

Tracking calories can be done in an excel sheet or an app. There are many apps in Google Play or the Apple store. Try doing it for a day or two and see how it works out for you. 

Many people can’t stay consistent when tracking their calories, but that’s the main reason why maintaining weight is so hard. Mukbangers do this all the time, which helps them maintain their weight without any problems.

Don’t Eat Junk Food

Mukbangers don’t eat junk food when not filming. They only eat junk food when they’re planning to create a mukbang video for it. This is because it attracts a lot of attention and people love eating junk food.

However, mukbangers don’t eat this outside their videos because it contains lots of calories. There might be an occasion where they will eat junk food, but in general, it’s not worth it, especially when they’re trying to stay in shape and make mukbang videos.

Exercise Regularly 

Exercise regularly. This is very important if you want to lose weight quickly or maintain weight in general. Most people that exercise regularly probably already know this but the ones that don’t exercise.

It’s a key factor in maintaining weight, especially if you’re going to record mukbang videos.  The last thing you want to do is gain weight while trying to maintain weight. You can either try running or if you’re lazy and find it hard to exercise, at least go out and take a walk for an hour.

You can also go on hikes which is very popular in South Korea – especially during the fall season. When they go on hikes, they take their mukbang equipment with them and record videos. Then upload it to YouTube afterward.

Drink Water Instead of Soda or Juice 

Drinking water instead of soda or juice is very beneficial for your weight. This is a very important tip if you want to lose weight faster. If you drink soda or juice, it contains a lot of sugar and carbohydrates from the fruit that it’s made from.

If you replace soda or juice with water for three days, you will notice a big difference in your appetite. Your stomach will be flatter and you will eat less food because of it. This isn’t a trick or something that you need to do forever, but it can help prevent overeating if you do this for a few days.   

Focus on Portion Size

Portion size is very important if you want to lose weight or maintain weight. Mukbangers eat a lot of food in one sitting, but they don’t overeat because it hurts their appetite and stomach afterward. In order to prevent overeating, mukbangers focus on portion size while eating.

If you look at lots of mukbang videos, you will notice that they have the same portion size when eating. This is because it’s a lot easier to eat in a short amount of time if the food has a small portion size.

Mukbang Bulimia

Just because you are eating large quantities of food, doesn’t mean that it causes bulimia. Mukbangers eat a lot of food in one sitting, but they are usually full afterward because they are used to it.

That being said, there have been cases where mukbangers developed bulimia after doing this for a long period of time. If you eat a lot for several months, it can cause damage to your stomach which then causes bulimia if it’s not treated correctly.


Mukbangers are able to maintain their weight because of the tips they use. They focus on portion size and exercise regularly and this is why they can eat so much in one sitting and not go over their calorie intake for the day.
