Are you too lazy to cook some real food? And instead, you’re going with instant noodles every day?

I WAS LIKE THAT TOO!

But after a while, it gets really unhealthy. Eating instant noodles too often may cause stomach issues, heart disease and stroke.

These problems may not occur at first, but trust me. Once you feel like your health is declining day by day, you’ll likely stop eating instant noodles.

Experts say that eating instant noodles once a week is okay. Because noodles are a very high–sodium food, they may impact your health very badly. Every now and then you can eat noodles more than once a week, but don’t eat them too often.

Now, that you know that what about homemade noodles?

Are Homemade Noodles Also Bad?

Homemade noodles aren’t as bad as instant noodles.

Mainly, because homemade noodles are often freshly made, it isn’t as bad as instant noodles are. And because fresh noodles are generally healthier they won’t cause as many health problems as instant noodles do.

Now, that doesn’t mean that you can eat homemade noodles every day. Always add different kinds of foods to your eating plate.

That’s the best way to stay healthy in the long run.

You can eat homemade noodles once or twice a week. But this also depends on what kind of noodles you’re eating. In countries like South Korea or the Philippines, they eat noodles almost every day.

Even though most people in the US don’t do this, it’s quite normal over there.

Considering that most Asian households eat rice every day, you’re probably thinking that noodles are the same, but that’s not the case at all.

Noodles are harder to digest, which makes them worse than plain white rice.

How Frequently Should You Eat Instant Noodles?

Like I said before once a week is what most people do, but what’s the limit?

There have been people that eat instant noodles every single day, which made them gain a lot of weight.

Eating too many instant noodles can lead to:

  • High blood pressure
  • Heart problems
  • Weight gain

Generally speaking, you can eat as many noodles as you’d like. Some people eat two packets at once because one is not enough.

After all, it’s up to you how frequently you should eat noodles. But if you want to stay healthy as long as possible try to keep it at once a week.

That’ll be frequent enough to still enjoy the noodles and not experience the bad side effects.

Instant Noodles for Breakfast

Eating instant noodles for breakfast is a no-go. Not only is it very unhealthy, but it’ll is a poor diet quality in general. The people that do eat noodles for breakfast should really consider avoiding this at all costs.

Instant Noodles for Lunch

Eating instant noodles for lunch is okay, it’s not as bad as eating them for breakfast. What you have to consider when eating noodles for lunch is that it’ll likely cause sleepiness. Because noodles are rich in protein it may cause your blood sugar levels to rise.

Instant Noodles for Dinner

Noodles for dinner are very normal. This is the time when most people tend to order instant noodles. So you don’t need to worry about anything when eating noodles for dinner.

How Many Packets of Instant Noodles Should Eat At Once?

Generally speaking, one packet of instant noodles is enough for most people. If you’re still hungry you can add more.

What I see is that people add rice or meat to their noodles, which is very common in Asian countries. They do this when they’re done eating the noodles and after that, they’ll add some rice to it.

You can do this too by adding a fried egg on top, which is extremely delicious. If you haven’t tried this already make sure to give it ago.

Keep in mind that you shouldn’t be eating more than 2 packets of instant noodles at a time.

Alternatives Ways To Cook Instant Noodles

Let’s say that you got bored of eating instant noodles. Well… that’s probably what a lot of people are. But did you know that there are many other ways to cook instant noodles.

1. Stir-fry noodles. Doing this will make the instant noodles a bit more oily, but in my opinion, it tastes way better. You do need to cook the noodles in water first, and after that, you can put some oil in the pan and stir-fry the noodles.

Make sure to add some vegetables and meat to the noodles, that’ll make it even better. It’s important that you don’t add too much salt to the dish. The seasoning from the noodles itself is already very salty.

2. Mix different kinds of noodles. If you haven’t been doing this already, you’re missing out big time. Whenever you think one pack of instant noodles isn’t enough you can always mix two packs together. This will make the taste better if it goes well.

There have been instances where the noodles didn’t go well together. So make sure that you know what you’re doing and always taste beforehand.

3. Tteokbokki Noodles. Have you ever heard of tteokbokki noodles? If not, you should definitely give this a go. It’s basically rice cakes mixed with instant noodles. This is quite spicy because tteokbokki has gochujang, which is a spicy sauce. But the taste overall is amazing.

Final Thoughts

After all, it’s advised to eat instant noodles no more than twice a week. Eating instant noodles more than that may cause stomach issues, high blood pressure, and even heart disease.

So, always take into account what you’re eating and how you’re going to balance out your food plate. Especially, when your young it’s important that your overall diet is high quality.
